Natyanjali is an offering of dance and a tribute to Lord Shiva, the Lord of consciousness and true knowledge.Natyanjali in India is performed every year for 5 days at the ancient Nataraja temple of Chidambaram as a special tribute to Lord Shiva. It begins on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri. Leading dancers from all over the world congregate and dance in the temple as an offering to Nataraja, under his Golden Roof and in the company of the spectacular sculptures that depict the 108 poses of Lord Nataraja.

Inspired by the Chidambaram Natyanjali, bhawa along with ATLAS STAR MEDICAL CENTRE proudly premiered NATYANJALI for the first time in the Middle East. The event staged 10 lead choreographers, 10 concepts and 70 Artists perform different classical dance forms of India like Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kathak, and Odissi and Keralanadanam. NATYANJALI was declared open by Smt. Priyadarshini Govind, Director of Kalakshetra. It was a 5-hour long festival. The artistes were from different emirates in the UAE and it showcased the greatness of different forms of Indian classical dance with authenticity and richness.

The second edition of bhawa's NATYANJALI was held on January 2014 with the theme being 'Sthalapuranam'. The event was presided by Sri.Madurai.R. Muralidaran and staged over 70 artists from all over UAE. The event was well received and appreciated by the audience.  In 2015, we held Natyanjali with the concept of Numbers: Naatya Sankhya. It was presided by Smt. Urmila Sathyanarayanan from Chennai. This year, Natyanjali was held in January, with Dr. Janaki Rangarajan presiding our festival and the concept being: Naatya Sankalpam.
